FOOTLOOSE ON THE FREEDOM TRAIL
Rarely presented in its entirety, this is the trail that led to Boston's
freedom and a nation's liberation. Highlights include Faneuil Hall, "The
Cradle of Liberty"; the Old North Church where the famous signal lanterns
were hung; the Old State House, where the Declaration of Independence
was first read in Boston; and the USS Constitution ("Old Ironsides"),
the world's oldest commissioned warship.
Tour Meets: At the foot of the State House steps, on Beacon Street across from
the Boston Common, Boston.
Nearest T stop: Park Street (Red & Green lines).

BEACON HILL WITH A BOO!
This ninety–minute guided tour will highlight The Hill's rich heritage
of mystery and suspense. Sites include: the home of the murdered George
Parkman, the Common where Quakers were hanged and famous men buried, and
many more scenes of the macabre.

Discover the things that move in, around, and over the Charles River Basin. In this secluded area, just minutes away from Causeway Street, walkers will experience art, technology, nature, and history.

Follow Boston’s great engineering feats from the filling of the Back Bay to the Big Dig, now America’s largest public works project. Ride the nation’s first subway; and learn about such taken–for–granted utilities as water, sewage, gas, steam, and electricity.

CAPTAIN KIDD'S TREASURE HUNT

A short self–guided tour for buccaneers of all ages. Each participant receives a treasure map and clues leading to a trove of architectural and historical gems.
Tour Meets: Purchase your kit at the Statue of Samuel Adams, on Congress Street.

In his day, Benjamin Franklin was America’s greatest scientist, inventor, diplomat, humorist, statesman and entrepreneur. Ben Franklin was born in Boston, came of age in Philadelphia and was the darling of Paris. From his inventions, scientific achievements, and establishment of civic, philanthropic and educational institutions to his role in the founding of America, his legacy is immeasurable. Trace the milestones of the best-known of the Founding Fathers against the backdrop of the sites where he was born, educated and worked before leaving Boston at the age of 17.
